Study after study shows us that as much as thirty to forty percent of our customers here at eHealthInsurance are self -employed.

Health insurance can be confusing and when you’re on your own you don’t have an HR department to turn to, so coming to a company like ours makes sense.  Anyone who thought health insurance was confusing before Health Care Reform, may find it downright befuddling now.

We always receive phone calls from people who have questions, but the phones went absolutely crazy after the Supreme Court ruled that the mandate to buy health insurance was constitutional (sort of). And many of our self-employed customers were especially confused. They had questions about how reform impacted their health insurance, their business, and their tax situation.

Keith Mendonsa, one of our licensed agents recently wrote an article for the Brazen Careerist addressing some of these changes. In the article he writes, “By now you’ve probably heard that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act (ACA) declaring health care reform constitutional. Chances are you haven’t read the whole thing (since it’s more than 900 pages long).”

There are some provisions in the law that benefits the self-employed. So how can these reforms work for you? Read about it on the BrazenLife.com

And if you’re self-employed, we encourage you to start following theSelfEmployed.com
